OSCLG Conference

     

The Organization for the Study of Communication, Language, & Gender is a group focused around the effects of language and interaction through a feminist lens. They seek to create thoughtful and inclusive environments where professionals from all over the communications and literary fields can come together. The goal of these spaces is to improve learning and broaden visual lenses beyond personal bias.

The OSCLG Conference is held once each year in various cities around the world and needs a new booklet design. My solution gives the conference a definitive logo symbolizing the group’s intersectionality. The symbol is an improvement from previous systems of identification as it will allow for consistency regardless of location or theme.


The booklet is built in an easy-to-read, comprehensive format that brings life to an otherwise heavily informational booklet. Finally, the theme of masculinity comes to life elements of the cover and sets the tone for the rest of the conference. The soft yet vibrant color palette suggests a type of passion and respect while the imagery brings strength and ruggedness to the piece.
