Skill Focus: Interactivity as an educational tool
Involvement: Full-Service (Concept, Design, Programming, Printing, Installation)
Outcome: This gallery exhibition was my first opportunity to show the breadth of my skills as both a designer and creative. I not only came up with the show purpose and executional ideas, but designed, coded, built, printed, and installed all of the elements to the show as well. I learned just how extensive a project of this scale can be and found a true passion for UX design and Interactive media.
If I had another chance, what would I change? Greater use of technology. Because of time constraints, I was unable to use as much technology as I would have ideally hoped. I did get to use the Raspberry Pi for the headphone piece (viewers listened to the room through a hidden microphone. However, I had originally hoped to use a second one in place of the computer and have viewers click physical buttons to change the displayed masks on the projector.
